Residents do 'The Twist'

Resident Les Mann and Nurse Karen Handcock getting into the rock ‘n’ roll theme.

Elvis Lives and his wife Priscilla take to the dance floor to entertain residents at Glenview Indigo North Health.

Glenview Indigo North Health residents were recently transported on a journey back to the days of rock ‘n’ roll - the fabulous 1950s and swinging 1960s.

The Glenview Dayroom was transformed into a 1960s style cafe complete with records, images of the 1950s and 1960s, leather jackets and even a motorbike.

The residents and staff, who embraced the theme by dressing in their best rock ‘n’ roll inspired outfits, were entertained with music by Billy Arnold from Benalla.

One of the nurses, Barb Sandral, and nursing student Ben put on a wonderful display of rock ‘n’ roll dance moves for the residents.

Many residents and staff took to the dance floor as well.

Elvis was found alive and well after 40 years and joined wife Pricilla on the dance floor.

Residents also joined in on the action to the ever popular 1960s tune Grease Lighting, which was performed by the nursing students.

To tie in with the rock ‘n’ roll theme, residents enjoyed homemade hamburgers with the lot and lemonade spiders for lunch made by the Glenview catering team.

A fabulous day was enjoyed by all.
