The Kilara Group Corowa opened their deck to the community last Thursday and welcomed clients and local residents to the Kilara Group Big Morning Tea fundraiser in honour of the Cancer Council’s Australia Biggest Morning Tea.
Attendees followed the signs and the balloons and brought their appetites and wallets to support the great cause and in total raised an astonishing $925.
The annual fundraiser is a chance for Australians to get together and raise money for a great cause.
One in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
One dollar at a time you are making a real difference helping to fund Cancer Council’s vital research, prevention and support service programmes.
Kilara Group Partners Malcolm McLean and Andrew Holmes told the Free Press that they were extremely proud of everyone involved.
“We are thrilled with the amount raised and would like to thank all those who attended, donated and cooked all the delicious treats for the morning tea,” the partners agreed.
“We are already looking forward to next year’s morning tea where we hope to make it an even bigger event to continue raising money for this fantastic cause.”
